Most staff workstations have a desktop computer and a phone. Here is how they connect:
1) On the back of the phone, there is an ethernet port for the network connection. An ethernet cord connects from this port to the ethernet drop on the wall in your classroom/office. Most classrooms only have one live drop. If the connection is live, will your phone will begin to power on. If not, please try another ethernet drop in your classroom.
2) Once you have the phone connected, the other ethernet cord plugs into the port on the back of the phone labeled "PC". Run this cord from the phone to the ethernet port on the back of your computer. As long as your phone is connected and working (and all connections are tight) your computer will receive its internet connection from your phone through this connection.
Note: A few staff computers are connected to wireless internet. If so, connect your phone using only step 1 of these instructions.
